Former Walmart Worker Drives Car Through Store Says Concord Police

North Carolina — The Concord Police Department has charged the man responsible for driving his vehicle into the Wal-Mart located at 5825 Thunder Road, Concord.

Lacy Cordell Gentry, 32 of Charlotte, has been charged with two felony counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Government Official, felony Breaking and Entering, two misdemeanor counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and other charges relating to property damage.

Police said Gentry was a former Walmart Employee. No motive was determined and no injuries were reported.

Gentry is currently in the Cabarrus County Jail under $100,000 bond.
